Breaking News! The Oasis is now in its 4th year! Planted in January of 2005 from the humble beginings of only 14 people - The Oasis has consistently grown over the years to become a vibrant missional church of around 200 people. On April 27th 2008 The Oasis voted to amalgamate with a small group from Bundamba. What was previously known as Bundamba Church of Christ will now carry the name of The Oasis - Bundamba Hub. This new Bundamba Hub is the first of several extension Hubs that will be planted over the coming months. The Oasis wants to take its message to the City of Ipswich and beyond and we believe that a Hub or multi site model is both a cost effective and resource savy way to do this. Hubs will all stand on an equal plain with no one Hub taking a leadership role over the other Hubs. Each Hub will have its own flavour whilst sharing a common M-DNA (missional DNA). We want to welcome our newest Oasis Partners from Bundamba! |

Not long after I heard that the government had just approved funding for 385 state schools to have employed chaplains. With Brett's encouragement, I applied for a Chaplaincy position through Scripture Union, withdrew it, and with further encouragement applied again. |

Welcome to the online presence of Springfield Community Oasis! We are a faith community based in the Springfield area. We see the church as God's people on Mission for Him. Hopefully this site will both inform and inspire you to think outside the church box that we have accepted for generations. |
