Brett & Carolyn Swann have two daughters Bonnie and Lucy. They have been involved in ministry since 1993. They have a passion for connecting the church to everyday life. Brett & Carolyn lost their youngest daughter following a life time of long term illness in May of 2009.

Brett has had a long involvement with school chaplaincy throughout the city of Ipswich; he sits on the Australian College of Ministries Queensland Board (as well as previous involvement on the Queensland Churches of Christ Conference Council and The Way Forward Review Team), he is involved in the Springfield Lakes Neighbourhood Watch and Chairman of the Greater Springfield Community Incorporated. Carolyn was a career for their daughter Lucy who suffered complex  multiple disabilities including being wheelchair bound for over 15 years; she is the chaplain at Mt Omanney Special School and currently studing a Social Services Degree at QUT. Together Brett & Carolyn are the Pastoral Team Leaders of Oasis Church.

Brett completed an Australian College of Theology Bachelor of Ministries at the Bible College of Qld and Carolyn has completed a Certificate IV in Christian Studies at the Bible College of Qld.  Brett’s interests include his passion for his V8 supercars and Thai cooking whilst Carolyn loves to read and enjoy the beauty of God’s creation (plants, animals, beaches and mountains).
