Oasis Church operates in accordance with a set of Church Functional Guidelines. These provide the governance framework for Oasis Church. They set out decision making processes, leadership structures and the frame work within which the church is run.

Our Board of Elders is the highest level of lay leadership in Oasis Church. The Board of Elders set strategic direction in consultation with the Team Leader. The Board of Elders then monitor the church's progress in relation to the strategic goals that have been set. The Board of Elders are not a management team. The day to day management of the church is left to the Team Leader and their team of staff and lay leaders.

The Team Leader is the chief employee of the church and the sole employee of the Board of Elders. All other staff are employed and supervised by the Team Leader. This frees up the Team Leader to provide the necessary leadership to the church whilst providing safe guards and accountability along the way via the Board of Elders.

The Board of Elders will get involved in some pastoral care provision and may be key leaders in ministry areas in their own right depending on their giftings.

Currently Oasis Church has three members of our Board of Eldership:

• Savas Kremastos (Current Chairman & Appointed 2009)
• Peter Surgeoner (Appointed 2009)
• Rod Whitehead (appointed 2010)
