School chaplaincy has exploded within Australian schools thanks to the Federal Government's funding. Chaplaincy provides support to students, staff and parents who are in need of mentoring, pastoral care, life skills, positive choices, support, a listening ear, etc.

We have a number of local school chaplains who call Oasis Church home. As a church we have had a long invovlement with school chaplaincy. Sharman Irvine is the Scripture Union Dsitrict Coordinator for Chaplaincy across the City of Ipswich, the Fassifern valley and western suburbs of Brisbane.

Our church's invovlement also extends to the leadership of Woodcrest College Local Chaplaincy Committee with one of our elders Peter Surgeoner as chairman of this comittee.

Bruce Johnson also our CAP Centre Manager is a part time Army Reserve Chaplain.
